Small fish, big ocean
Imagine the world of forex trading as one big, vast ocean. There are many inhabitants of this watery world. Banks, investment houses, hedge funds, global companies and speculators to name just a few. It’s an ecosphere teeming with life of all shapes and sizes.
Where does the retail trader generally find themselves on the food chain in this brave new world?
Unfortunately, the retail trader is normally equivalent to the krill, which are found in abundance, but generally become the snack food of larger fish.
The big players in the forex market, such as the banks and investment houses, are the whales and sharks in the ocean.
If you don’t want to become fish food for these whales and sharks then it makes sense that you don’t want to be a krill.
What you want to become is a cyamid (also called a whale lice). These small parasitic crustaceans live their whole lifes attached to a whale.
This way you get carried along, availing yourself of all the strengths of their size and power, without ever becoming a victim of their hunger and need to feed.
