News trading seminar
I’ve signed up to attend Tom Yeomans’ news trading seminar that he is hosting this Friday. From the flurry of e-mails that Tom has sent out this month it looks like he has decidedly veered towards trading the aftermath of the news release and not the news release itself. I have already detailed the main methods of trading economic data releases in a previous post for those who are not already familiar with them.
While I have a pretty good grasp on what Tom does, and how he waits for all his ‘ducks’ to line up in a row before entering the trade I think it will be useful to watch him in action. The price for this seminar is just a third of the regular price of his monthly trade room.
Since the seminar starts at 7:30 am EST I won’t be sending out a daily briefing e-mail that day.
I am also thinking of making a change to the frequency of my briefing e-mails in the near future. There is only so much free time in any given day, what with my real job, family, and other commitments demanding my focus, energies and attention.
Very shortly my wife and I are going to be going through one of those life changing events. We are going to having our first kid sometime next month. Obviously my priortities are going to be shifting, and the amount of my spare time that I can dedicate to getting my trading thoughts down will be one of the activities that I’m going to have to cut back on.
There is a lot of work still to be done to prepare for the new arrival so I am going to be cutting back sooner rather than later. There’s a good chance that normal operations will resume in a few weeks, but I will have to take a wait and see approach to that.
