My technical issue with Oanda’s FXGame platform seemed to resolve itself sometime yesterday evening as a resting limit order sell on EUR/USD was successfully executed just before 23:00 EST along with its associated profit target limit order.

Today’s NFP numbers were as dire as expected and Pending Home Sales came in just over a percentage point lower than the consensus at -4.6%. Even on this gloomy news the US equity markets were positive all day, with the DOW closing up 179 points; perhaps a pure correction on the 10% drop over the prior two days.

The currency markets I follow had no real trends evident especially during the NY session. This is probably easiest to see on EUR/JPY.

EUR/USD seemed content to stick within a 100 pip range that was setup before the NFP numbers were released. The same price action was broadly evident on GBP/USD with some slightly more pronounced dollar strengthening going into the week’s close.

The last trading day of the week saw ten scalp trades all being profitable.

For the first time in quite a while, EUR/JPY saw the most activity as far as number of trades were concerned. EUR/JPY had four trades while EUR/USD and GBP/USD tied with three each.
