Summer lull

Just a quick post to say that I’m still around. I’ve been making the most of the enjoyable summer that is on hand and while I have still been actively trading it has very much been a back seat activity.

The markets have been almost comatose this summer. The tight range that EUR/USD has been trapped within being a prime example. So while I have been trading, it hasn’t been to any great end as I’ve just slowly bleed on the few trades I have done, looking for breakouts to occur and getting trapped in another range pullback. I’ve taken 11 trades since my last post in mid-June. 5 were modest winners, so while the batting average might be okay, the larger scope of the losses was a bummer.

The price action after today’s NFP has taken EUR/USD right back into the middle of the 1.38-1.44 range so I’ll get to sit and ponder over the weekend which way I want to play it next week.
